If you are interested in this class, let me know!

Letterpress printing has a long history of allowing the efficient production and mass distribution of printed materials, including protest posters and political ephemera. Learn the process of letterpress printing, and be a part of this history by making a poster or card with your message, printed with wood type in our studio.

In this workshop, we’ll talk about designing for letterpress, choosing paper, and mixing ink. You’ll see how type is set, and we will print on two different presses—a large poster on the Vandercook (cylinder press) and smaller flat card on the Chandler & Price (platen press). All students will receive one poster and 5 small cards that are printed during the class. We’ll also have plenty of time for answering questions.

This workshop is suitable for ages teen-adult.
